Change of Company Name

Changing the name of your company is a two stage process.

Stage 1. Decide on the new name for the company and check that it is available to use. As part of our service we will check to make sure that your chosen name is not being used by an existing company and whether or not it contains any ‘sensitive’ words which require permission to use. We will also check and advice on whether it may potentially be considered to be too similar to an existing company name. This can avoid the possibility of an objection being raised by the existing company later on. We are experts in the field of company names and will help you to chose a new company name that is both available and allowable.

Stage 2. Running through the process of changing the name. A change of company name requires a Special Resolution to be passed by 75% of the voting members. As part of our service we will provide all the required meeting minutes, notices (and consent to short notice if required), resolution and share holders consent. We will also then arrange for the change to be recorded with Companies House by filing form NM01 and Resolution with them. We can do this electronically or with paper forms as preferred.

Once the change of name is complete we will send you the change of name certificate in electronic and/or hard copy on official 160gsm card along with the other documents for your company records.
